Portable Sediment Imaging Camera

Since 1974 Ocean Instruments has built numerous sediment imaging cameras for seafloor research. Portable sediment profile cameras are designed to be used in either a frame or placed in the sediment using a push pole. The portable sediment imaging camera images the top 10 cm of the seabed. The portable sediment imaging camera is also operable to depths of 200 meters remotely in a frame or to 5 meters with a real-time live view by push pole. This unit takes both still shots and video and can be programmed prior to deployment.
