Discover the cutting-edge capabilities of Tritech’s Super SeaKing sonar, the pinnacle of mechanical scanning technology. With its innovative use of Digital Sonar Technology (DST) composite transducer and Compressed High-Intensity Radar Pulse (CHIRP) technology, the Super SeaKing DST delivers unparalleled clarity and resolution as a dual-frequency mechanical scanning sonar.

Designed with a modular transducer design and a longer-life slip ring assembly, The Super SeaKing DST sonar minimizes the impact of operational damage, ensuring enhanced reliability in challenging underwater environments.

Widely recognized as the industry-standard obstacle avoidance sonar for larger ROVs, the Super SeaKing DST is the preferred choice found in work-class ROV fleets worldwide.

Featuring two mechanically scanned imaging sonars with a single subsea pressure housing, the Super SeaKing DST offers a 325 kHz CHIRP sonar with an impressive operational range of up to 300 meters for long-range target recognition, alongside a 650 kHz CHIRP sonar for capturing ultra-high definition images. Custom frequency options are available upon request.

As part of the SeaKing range of mechanical imaging sonars, which includes the Super SeaKing, Super SeaPrince, Micron Sonar, and SeaKing Hammerhead, all products within this family, as well as third-party products within the ArcNet communications link, can be seamlessly operated simultaneously. Whether using the Surface Control Unit (SCU) or a customer-supplied PC or laptop, the SeaKing sonars offer unmatched flexibility and integration capabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Why does my device appear as UNKNOWN in Seanet Setup?
If your device shows UNKNOWN in Seanet Setup, it is typically due to an issue with the RS232 ground connection. To resolve this, please check for continuity on the copper sections between each end of the cable. In rare cases, if the issue persists, it may indicate that you have an RS485 device connected to an RS232 port. For detailed instructions and troubleshooting tips, we recommend referring to our comprehensive document titles Serial Port Connection and Setup Rev 1″. This resource will help you understand the basics and address any issues related to serial port connections effectively.
