Originally designed for deploying ROVs and sensors from an Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV), the CROC Mini Smart Winch is ideal for any portable or remote application utilizing small diameter tether. It offers a motorized payout and retrieval, and can store up to 300 m of 5 mm diameter cable. By connecting to a standard network and using the built-in web control, operators can drive the winch functions through an intuitive interface. Or, for more advanced users and researchers, control can be fully customized and automated using a programming API (contact us for more information). All of the smart winch products include a cable counter for measuring deployment distance and allowing accurate “go to” commands.
