Congratulations to CalWave Power Technologies Inc. for successfully deploying their fully submerged wave energy device offshore of Scripps pier! This achievement marks California’s first at-sea, long duration, fuel-efficient wave energy pilot operating fully submerged. The CalWave x1™ will be tested for six months to validate the high-quality performance and reliability of the system in the open ocean.
