Not sure where a pipe is and need to locate where you are? Use a transmitting sonde to identify where you are underground with a utility locator.
A sonde is a self-contained, battery-powered transmitter used to locate and trace non-conductive pipes and ducts such as sewers. The sonde connects to the crawler and is powered by 2 button cell batteries for up to 10 hours. This is a useful addon in situations where you need to track the location of the crawler, due to inaccurate or non-existent utility drawings and need to identify where you need to excavate or perform a point repair. The sonde will transmit the signal, which you can then drive a utility locator to track the signal as you operate the crawler.
