Equipped with a single-axis FOG sensor housed in an extruded aluminum casing, the iFG outperforms magnetically referenced aircraft gyros, effectively reducing drift errors.
An onboard processor efficiently manages the FOG sensor interface, mode selection, power supplies, and water ingress sensing (applicable when the iFG is mounted inside its own pod). The iFG incorporates internal compensation for pitch and roll angles using data from the iGC attitude sensors.
Operating in conjunction with the iGC, the iFG receives magnetic heading, pitch, and roll data. Employing proprietary slaving algorithms, it delivers a stabilized heading output with a low drift rate. The output data is transmitted through the provided 3 serial ports.
